WithYou is a drug, alcohol and mental health support charity. With over 80 services across England and Scotland, we provide free and confidential support and advice to more than 100,000 people a year.

WithYou is commissioned to run essential drug, alcohol, mental health and specialist young person services. To make this happen, we reach out and secure funding from key sources like local authorities, NHS trusts and funding institutions. Our commitment goes beyond securing financial support – we truly believe in genuine partnerships and connections. Influencing drug, alcohol and mental health policy is also a core part of what we do to deliver our strategy. We do this through advocacy, providing expert insight and developing an evidence base to support what we stand for. We work with a wide range of partners, including commissioners, civil servants, Government, researchers, other treatment providers and our clients.

By advocating for the importance of drug, alcohol and mental health treatment and recovery, we can help to transform service delivery across England and Scotland, and radically improve people’s chances of getting better.

WithYou is at an exciting point in its development as we move through a period of significant change and strategic development. We are now seeking a new Chair to lead our ambitious organisation, and ensure the Board provides an appropriate level of oversight, challenge, and support to enable us to deliver on our strategic objectives. Our Chair will provide leadership to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, as we develop and implement our new strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Chair to lead our Board of Trustees. We are looking for candidates who bring strategic leadership experience gained in complex environments, who can also demonstrate a passion for our mission. Candidates will have experience of working at a senior level in their professional life, with the requisite commercial acumen and an understanding of the key challenges and opportunities facing the health and social care sector. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will be critical, along with the willingness to leverage networks and act as an ambassador on behalf of WithYou.
