Whizz-Kidz

Fundraising Director

Job Reference RANABC
Closing Date Thursday 07 Jul 2022 (Now Expired)

Whizz-Kidz is an extraordinary organisation with a wonderful mission: to empower young wheelchair users to be mobile, enabled and included. We support young people by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, as well as campaigning for a more inclusive society. We work hard to transform the lives of young wheelchair users and the impact of our services is significant and wide ranging. We’re a values-led organisation – our colleagues are ambitious, inclusive, collaborative, and young people focused.

This year we launched an exciting new strategy with ambitious goals to increase our reach and impact. We’ve pledged to double the number of young wheelchair users we support in the next three years. To meet these ambitions, we need to significantly grow and diversify our income. We’re looking for an outstanding Fundraising Director who will take Whizz-Kidz to a new level, supporting our fundraising team to build on our excellent partnerships and develop new income generation opportunities. This is an opportunity for an exceptional individual with a proven background in driving sustainable income growth in another charity.

You’ll have an excellent track record in leading and nurturing income-generating teams, alongside significant experience in identifying, developing and securing major partnerships and donations which deliver towards agreed organisational strategic plans. Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, you will be values-led, ambitious and excited about the growth we are looking to achieve.

You will be an empathetic team player who brings energy, drive and enthusiasm to the role. Most importantly, you will inspire the wonderful people who work for Whizz-Kidz and show the same commitment as them to helping young wheelchair users live their lives to the full.

We recognise the enormous benefits of a Senior Management Team that reflects the diverse communities that we are proud to serve. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
