West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) is an award-winning Trust providing acute and community services to a population of about 280,000 people. This is an exciting and pivotal time to join WSFT as our new Executive Medical Director. We are two years into the delivery of a renewed Trust strategy focusing on innovation and transformation, a key component is our exciting new capital project. We will be building a state-of-the-art facility that provides modern care fit for future generations; makes the best use of digital technology; and reduces our impact on the environment. By enhancing our digital capability, we will enable the development of community care through the expansion of our virtual ward. The Executive Medical Director will play a key role in shaping these developments.

Reporting to the CEO, Dr Ewen Cameron, our next Executive Medical Director will be a critical member of the Trust Board and will play a central role in setting the future direction for clinical services, defining new clinical pathways, and providing professional leadership. With a strong track record of delivering excellence, innovation, and improvement, you will bring senior-level medical leadership experience gained in similarly complex environments, with a track record of developing and motivating clinical teams in an acute, primary, community and/or mental health setting. You will need exceptional communication skills in managing a range of senior relationships inside the Trust and beyond.
