Following the appointment of Professor Anthony Woodman as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hertfordshire, UWL is now seeking to appoint a new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). This is a pivotal role, responsible for providing strategic leadership across the University’s academic portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality, student recruitment, and employability.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) will play a critical role in the size and shape of the University’s academic offer, both in the UK and internationally. They will also drive the planning process, oversee enterprise activity, and lead key University-wide initiatives aligned to our strategic plan, Impact 2028.
We are seeking an inspiring, strategic academic leader with a strong track record of research and scholarship, and substantial leadership experience in a higher education environment. The successful candidate will possess commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding student outcomes and inclusive academic excellence.
