Unity Schools Partnership
Headteacher, Sybil Andrews Academy

Unity Schools Partnership seeks an exceptional leader to become Headteacher of Sybil Andrews Academy, a thriving secondary school in Bury St Edmunds. Following the promotion of the previous Executive Headteacher to a central Trust role, we’re looking for a visionary leader who can build on our recent success – including a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in 2023, positive Progress 8 scores, and being the Trust’s most improved secondary school for key performance indicators.
Sybil Andrews Academy offers a broad, engaging curriculum delivered in state-of-the-art facilities on a university-style campus. The school has achieved top 20 status in the Eastern region for overall attendance and continues to see increasing first-choice preferences from families. With the full support of the Trust, you’ll be joining at an exciting time of growth and development, where you can make a significant impact on students’ education and future opportunities.
The successful candidate will lead a modern, purpose-built campus with and established leadership team, experienced governors, and a strong community ethos rooted in kindness, courage and responsibility. You’ll join our collaborative Trust of 39 schools, benefiting from extensive professional development opportunities, cross-school partnerships, and support from our central team of curriculum and subject experts. This is an excellent opportunity to make remarkable change happen in a school and Trust committed to educational excellence.
