The University is now looking to appoint a new Vice-President & Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH). As Dean of FBMH, you will be directly accountable for three Schools, each with six Divisions all directly related to Healthcare, Research and Training. The Faculty houses the largest Medical School in the UK and contains all of the other Healthcare professions (Dental, Nursing, Public Health and Pharmacy Schools). FMBH has an annual research income of c. £100m and an annual budget of c. £320m. Reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Vice-President and Dean of FBHM will provide academic and professional leadership to the Faculty and play a key role in central planning and budgeting decision making affecting the University as a whole.

This is a key post on the University’s Senior Leadership Team, and one that will provide strategic and visionary leadership for a significant portion of the University. Candidates will have an outstanding record of academic achievement matched with proven ability to bring world- class strategic leadership and operational management skills both to the Faculty and to the University as a whole. In line with the University’s mission, the new Vice-President & Dean will be an inspiring and values-led leader, able to build dynamic partnerships externally and perform ambassadorial duties on behalf of the University.
