The Housing Finance Corporation

Finance Director

Job Reference UASATA
Closing Date Wednesday 08 Dec 2021 (Now Expired)

Founded in 1987, The Housing Finance Corporation (THFC) is a truly unique enterprise.

THFC has served the affordable housing sector through the bad times and the good, innovating and adapting along the way. Together with its funding subsidiaries, THFC is an independent organisation that makes loans to housing associations (HAs) that provide affordable housing to tenants throughout the UK. With in-excess of £8Bn of current long-term lending we believe we are the largest mutual lender to housing associations in the UK. THFC is also unusual in that it is a finance company, rather than a bank, and employs only 23 people, while lending to more than 160 HAs nationally.

We are looking for a strategic, analytical new Finance Director to play a key role in our Executive Team, and wider company, who will oversee the management of our finance function, as well as IT. There is also future scope for Treasury responsibilities in line with our succession planning.

You will bring strong leadership and compelling communication skills, sound business judgement, and extensive relevant financial and treasury experience to a small, but ambitious, team. Prior understanding of the social housing sector and/or relevant capital markets sector would be welcomed.

Reflecting the diverse communities we work with and support, we are committed to finding a Finance Director who is dedicated to furthering diversity and inclusion within THFC. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
