Salary: £120,000 – £130,000

The Ernest Cook Trust is a land-based educational charity, one of the UK’s foremost providers and funders of Outdoor Learning. As leaders in the Learning from the Land sector, our story spans six counties, seven decades and a growing team of dedicated staff, often working in partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organisations across the UK. Our mission is to inspire young people to achieve better educational and life outcomes through a range of Outdoor Learning programmes and activities.

In this unprecedented era of nature and environment crisis, the Trust’s work has never been more urgent and important. We are now looking to appoint an ambitious Chief Executive to take forward the Trust and develop it to become more impactful than ever before. They will provide vision and leadership for our organisation, thinking innovatively about how we grow our reach and impact, building strong partnerships across the sector and increasing our influence amongst policy makers and other stakeholders.

Our next Chief Executive will be an outstanding leader who brings strong organisational management skills and a collaborative, empowering style. We are looking for individuals with real energy and drive to lead the evolution of the Trust and be an outstanding ambassador for the organisation. Most importantly, we are looking for a leader who will continue to develop the Trust’s significant potential, and who is fundamentally driven by our aim to enable underserved children and young people to learn from nature, empowering them to have a positive impact on our environment.
