The Air Ambulance Service
Chair

At The Air Ambulance Service, our objective is to save lives.
We work with specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics to improve clinical outcomes and ultimately be able to react quickly and efficiently to emergencies, supporting the NHS by providing our services without cost. We are at the forefront of innovative clinical care, and we challenge boundaries. None of this can be achieved without a hugely dedicated team of colleagues, volunteers, and the support of the general public.
The Air Ambulance Service provides two very important functions: Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, and The Children’s Air Ambulance which provides paediatric transfers across the UK.
We are now looking for two key Board roles – our new Chair and a Trustee who can bring professional financial expertise. We are keen to find ambitious, strategic, senior individuals who can uphold the highest standards of governance, and help move our organisation forward, whilst embracing our values of compassion, courage and creativity.
Reflecting the diverse communities that The Air Ambulance Service is proud to support, we are committed to building a Board dedicated to furthering diversity and inclusion. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
