Tate
Tate Modern, Director
Tate Modern is a museum with a track record of institutional innovation for over 20 years, from our ground-breaking collection displays to our pioneering of live art and performance. Our programmes are built in response to contemporary artists’ practices and concerns, with a commitment to rethink the past in light of the ever changing present and of a more active dialogue and collaboration with our audiences. We see our building and landscape as sites of learning and sociability and we believe in the power of looking listening, talking and making. We provide a welcome for all visitors and want to grow and diversify our audiences to reflect the city we are part of. We aspire to embed creative learning in the visitor experience and to work with artists beyond our walls digitally, connecting with the public where they live – both in the UK and internationally.
