Suffolk Community Foundation

CEO

Job Reference NYYXA
Closing Date Wednesday 16 Mar 2022 (Now Expired)

While Suffolk is, in many respects, a prosperous and beautiful place to live, many parts of our county unfortunately suffer from acute deprivation and our role is to lead the county in finding solutions to what are often deep-seated causes of hardship. In partnership with Suffolk, we seek to rebuild local lives in a compassionate, respectful, and sustainable way. Last year, we delivered more grants than ever before – more than 1,000, totalling over £4.3m.

Our priority is to reach those in most need by combining robust evidence with local service delivery.

As our inaugural CEO steps away from his role leading the organisation, we are looking to appoint a strategic new leader to work collaboratively with our dedicated team and Board. This is an exciting time to join the Foundation, and this is a role that will play a key part in the Foundation’s plans for the future. We are looking for an experienced, credible leader to join us as our next CEO. This will be someone who is values-driven, people focused and ambitious for growth. You will be a visionary, creative and entrepreneurial leader with strategic thinking skills, financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to build partnerships and communicate compellingly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders (across private businesses and high net worth individuals, the public sector, and other voluntary organisations), as well as beneficiaries, bringing a low-ego approach. Vitally, you will bring real passion and a care for Suffolk.

Reflecting the diverse communities that the Suffolk Community Foundation is proud to support, we are committed to finding a CEO who is dedicated to furthering diversity and inclusion within the charity. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.

We seek to rebuild local lives in a compassionate, respectful and sustainable way.
