Key themes are: ecology and the climate emergency, equity and inclusion, education, architecture and the impact of digital and new technologies.
Serpentine is now looking to appoint a Director of Operations & Strategy. This newly created role will report to CEO and work alongside their fellow Senior Management Team (SMT) members to ensure the Serpentine’s vision and the 3-year plan becomes a reality. The role maintains a focus on the day-to-day operations to enable the CEO and Artistic Director to focus on devising strategy, fundraising and new initiatives. A key responsibility area is to nurture and develop a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, steering cross-functional projects to deliver quality operations and cultural change. To have overall responsibility for developing and delivering the HR and IT strategies aligned with the overall Serpentine business plan. The candidate will have a track record of operational management within the creative industries and will be adept at managing across a broad series of function. We are looking for an exceptionally strong communicator who is able to work in detail, as well as thinking strategically. The postholder will have an interest in contemporary art and will be aligned with the mission and values of Serpentine. Working under the new Chief Executive as the organisation looks forward with a new strategic plan, this is an exceptionally exciting time to join Serpentine.
