The Motability Foundation is a leading national disability charity with a unique structure that enables us to deliver lifechanging services to disabled people and provide high-impact public benefit through our charitable activities. Our vision is to make all journeys accessible, and with 16 million disabled people in the UK, more than one fifth of the population, the need is greater than ever.

Motability Foundation is now searching for a new Governor to join the Board.  The Governors (as charity trustees) have ultimate responsibility for Motability Foundation and its work, ensuring its powers are exercised only in the charity’s best interest and those of its current and future beneficiaries. The Governors would particularly value candidates who have a background in public services (other than health), with experience of policymaking, oversight and/or procurement. Adept and fluent in dealing with government, they will bring superb influencing skills, commercial awareness and political nous, along with an understanding of charity governance, board level experience and an alignment with the objectives and values of the Foundation. With a commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, the Governors actively and warmly encourage applications from a wide range of backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience of disability.
