Closing Date Wednesday 17 Jan 2024

Manx National Heritage (MNH) is the trading name of the Manx Museum and National Trust, a charity registered in the Isle of Man that looks after some of the Island’s most special places, spaces, archives and museum collections. MNH exists to take a lead in protecting, conserving, making accessible and celebrating the Islands’ natural and cultural heritage for current and future generations whilst contributing to the Island’s prosperity and quality of life.

The Isle of Man has so much to offer its residents; from exceptional employment opportunities, a vibrant cultural scene, to stunning landscapes, and MNH is custodian of some of the world’s most important heritage sites, including amongst others the Great Laxey Wheel, the largest working waterwheel in the world, and Castle Rushen, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the world.

Against the backdrop of Manx Museum’s 100th anniversary in 2022/23 and the development of an exciting new three-year strategy, the organisation is seeking a Head of Marketing, Cause and Communications to generate long term revenue sustainability through dynamic leadership of fundraising, engagement, communications and brand strategy. This is an exciting and rewarding new position, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to establish a new division and to leave their own personal legacy for the heritage of our nation. As the leader of a team promoting MNH’s cause, you will play a pivotal role in placing active supporter engagement and dynamic effective communications at the heart of the organisation. Targeting investment to widen corporate, individual and public engagement and developing brand awareness will be key.

MNH is seeking an inclusive, strategic and proactive leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve results, whilst achieving personal targets. You will be an experienced marketing, communications and fundraising professional with a deep understanding of supporter engagement, who will demonstrate an innovative approach and have a proven track record of driving growth and transformation. You will have relevant leadership experience of successful change management with a thorough understanding of strategic marketing, brand positioning, and digital platforms.
