Who are Manx National Heritage?
MNH is the National Trust and the statutory heritage agency for the Isle of Man. We are responsible for taking the lead in protecting, conserving, making available and celebrating the Island’s natural and cultural heritage for current and future generations, whilst contributing to the Island’s prosperity and quality of life.
We look after and run some of the Islands’ famous landmarks and landscapes including Peel Castle, The Manx Museum, Castle Rushen, The House of Manannan and The Great Laxey Wheel, along with many others. Many of these are publicly accessible and form the backbone of the Island’s tourism industry. We also hold Accredited archives, library and museum collections.
MNH is a Manx Registered Charity. Our turnover is approximately £6m per annum. We receive grant and capital funding from the IOM Government and are a Non-Departmental Public Body similar to National Museums in the UK. We also generate income from retail, admissions and rentals and employ over 75fte staff. To find out more about us go to www.manxnationalheritage.im

You’ll be joining a supportive and welcoming team, including a wider Chief Officer Group within Government, our Executive Leadership team within MNH, and our effective Board of Trustees.
There’ll be plenty to get involved with including adapting to the challenges presented by COVID19, infrastructure and facilities projects on some of our key historic properties, and working to secure funding for major future projects.
