It is now looking for a new Chief Executive to lead it in the next phase of its journey, as it takes on new missions. The organisation is set to double in size, bringing new capabilities, perspectives and complexities across its very technical work and its people. Earlier this year, Dounreay Sites Restoration Ltd joined Magnox , and with the rolling decommissioning programme already predicted to provide better value for taxpayers’ money, its ambition for the future is huge.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to set the vision and strategy for an organisation that interfaces with many and varied stakeholders. Candidates for this appointment will be high profile and experienced leaders in their field. They will understand long-term programme management and contracts, and bring the commercial rigour needed to always drive efficiencies. They will be passionate advocates for organisational development strategy and be first-class communicators, able to engage and influence at the highest level. With the ability to lead across a diverse and complex organisaiton operating in a high hazard context, the new Chief Executive will be a credible and exciting appointment for the UK’s world-class nuclear industry.
