Our Degree Education and Career Centre (DECC) department is the largest at the School – a talented group of over 200 staff who work closely with our faculty and wider leadership to ensure our programmes deliver best in class value to our degree students, alongside the highest quality student experience. In an environment of ceaseless change in business, DECC drives the strategic development, change management and academic oversight of all our Masters programmes.
We are now looking for our next Associate Dean of DECC to lead this critical department and its team, ensuring we continue to remain one of the top business schools in the world. Reporting to the Vice Dean, this position will help the School meet its performance targets, deliver an outstanding student programme experience, support students in maximising their employment opportunities, ensure HE/UK regulatory compliance, effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery and contribute to the School’s overall development.
Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding professional leader with a strong affinity to educational purpose, an understanding of the academic environment and a liking of students. You will bring experience within or an understanding of, premium experiences or brands, combined with a tenacious promotion of a culture of excellence. Candidates will likely bring deep or relatable knowledge and experience of the HE sector and the relevant external environment as well as experience of leading organisation wide change and continuous improvement. Commercial and collaborative, your communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills will be matched by your people leadership skills, with a track record of creating high performing teams in positive working environments.
