International Dance Teachers Association
Chief Executive

The International Dance Teachers Association is one of the largest leading dance organisations in the world, offering dance qualifications and association membership to over 6000 professional teachers and prospective members in 55 countries worldwide. The IDTA defines standards across the widest variety of dance forms, from ballroom to street dance, ballet to belly dancing, and examines performances for both professionals and non-professionals of all ages, developing the practice of its members and promoting the love of dance across a dynamic, global community.
The Board of Directors of the IDTA now seek an excellent individual to provide inspiring and innovative leadership of the Association as its new Chief Executive. As an inspiring leader, they will also understand the values and culture for all members of the Association, to support growth and development both in the UK and internationally. The IDTA plays a crucial role in the dance profession, and its new Chief Executive will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the worlds of both dance education and dance.
The successful candidate will ideally bring high-level strategic leadership experience gained in a corporate, arts, educational, cultural or charitable organisation. They will be a compelling communicator, bring a strong understanding of budgetary oversight and control and will understand the complexity and diversity of the cultural sector, and the economic challenges the organisation faces.
