The Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) is an investor-led membership organisation focused on bringing the investment community together to help manage the transition towards a net zero and climate resilient future.

IIGCC works with its members to create guidance, tools frameworks and resources that can help them to manage climate-related financial risk within their individual portfolios. IIGCC’s work also supports investors to make the most of opportunities presented by the transition towards a decarbonised global economy and the realities of a changing climate. IIGCC has 400+ members across 20+ countries.

IIGCC is seeking an experienced and strategic individual to join the Senior Management Team as their inaugural Chief Operating Officer (COO). This person will be joining at a critical time in the organisation’s growth and expansion. In this pivotal role, the COO will lead the organisation’s operational functions, ensuring that IIGCC has the infrastructure and capabilities necessary to support its rapid growth and impact. This person will oversee functions including Human Resources, Finance, Fundraising and Business Development, Governance and Compliance, IT, and Office Administration, driving operational excellence and efficiency across the organisation.

As COO, this person will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the Board and key stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to IIGCC’s mission by ensuring its operational effectiveness, supporting strategic goals, and fostering a high-performing team.

IIGCC is looking for a highly skilled leader with significant experience in operations management within a complex organisation. This person will have a strong background in financial oversight, governance, compliance, and team leadership, with a proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies. Experience in fundraising and business development within the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
