Founded in 1487, Stockport Grammar School has a strong reputation for high academic standards, holistic and supportive pastoral care, and a vibrant co-curricular life. The school currently educates around 1500 pupils, of which 1100 are secondary pupils aged 11 – 18. Stockport Grammar is a culturally and socially diverse school with a big heart and huge warmth. Stockport Grammar School is one of the leading co-educational schools in the country and includes the Senior School and a Junior School of around 400 pupils. The new Head will provide the leadership of Stockport Grammar School and its experienced management team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the ethos that pervades the School. The Head will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future direction of the School and to work with a committed staff and the Governing Body.
