GLT is a multi-academy trust (MAT) based in the London Borough of Sutton. As the only all-girls MAT in the country, GLT provides outstanding education and support for around 4,500 students across three schools: Carshalton High School for Girls, Nonsuch High School for Girls and Wallington High School for Girls. GLT is an ambitious Trust with a relentless desire to improve the educational outcomes and lives of young people.

As the Trust moves into a new phase of development, it will be looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join the Executive Team who will be responsible for improving the business capability, service effectiveness and overall efficiency of GLT central service areas to support the education of students across the Trust. Immediate priorities include the delivery of an ambitious estate strategy with several live building projects to the value of £10 million and an ICT strategy that meets the expectations of its users whilst providing value for money.

The incoming COO will be a strategic thinker, with senior leadership experience in the public, private or non-profit sector. They will be capable of influencing senior staff and Trustees and contributing at Board level to the development of the Trust. This person will be an excellent communicator, who will inspire trust and confidence across the GLT community. GLT are looking for someone who is aligned with the Trust mission of empowering girls and young women through education.
