Horris Hill is now seeking to appoint a Bursar with vision, empathy, and integrity who will work with all members of the school community in its continued development. The Bursar will lead on all non-academic aspects of Horris Hill to ensure continued excellence in the operational and business functions of the school, and that the school operates in an efficient and cost-effective way. They will advise the Head on all financial, premises-related, employment, HR and health and safety matters, as well as assisting in developing and implementing future policy for the school in these areas.
The successful candidate will demonstrate financial acumen with strong managerial capabilities, sound judgment and excellent communication skills. They will have a professional finance qualification, and ideally have familiarity with conducting business in the educational world. The successful candidate will have significant prior experience in financial management, including end-of-year accounts and external liaison with auditors, as well as the proven ability to formulate and present strategic ideas.
