We are FCDO Services.  We deliver a unique and vital range of services to government customers in the UK and around the world, including the construction of embassies, advanced digital services, and the provision of secure logistical support to the British Government’s network of 250 diplomatic missions, in 168 counties. It is vital work that supports our nation’s interests and security globally.

We are seeking to appoint a high calibre individual with a strong commercial background as a Non-Executive Director to the FCDO Services Board.  This is a unique opportunity to contribute to protecting and promoting British international interests and play a key role in helping to shape FCDO Services in an increasingly competitive commercial environment, while achieving the balance between external market growth and continued sustainable delivery to the FCDO and other customers.

Providing commercial challenge and advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Team and bringing specialist knowledge to the operation of the business in the UK and globally, the successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen and international business experience gained in the private sector at a senior leadership level.  Candidates will have an understanding of the strategic challenges of operating in relevant sectors including engineering, major projects, property services, logistics, security and/or technology.
