We are FCDO Services.  As part of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), we work with government-level customers in the UK and overseas, providing a wide range of secure services, including logistics, construction, digital solutions, translation and counter-eavesdropping services. Our work directly support’s the delivery of government services to the public in the UK and around the world. It underpins the UK’s diplomatic service, providing secure products and services to the overseas platform of embassies and high commissions.

We are seeking to appoint a Chief of Operations to support the business through its next phase of growth and development.  Reporting to Mike Astell, the Chief Executive Officer, who joined the business towards the end of last year, this role leads on the global delivery and continuous improvement of our property, technology and security projects and service management. This is a profitable and growing global business with a team of people operating in most countries around the world.

The successful candidate will have strategic and operational leadership in a relevant international business, overseeing significant teams and resources. Commercially minded and customer-centric, candidates will bring experience delivering impactful, large-scale process and service improvement initiatives.  Pragmatic and empowering they will know how to engage people and have the credibility to influence and develop strong relationships with external stakeholders.
