Family Business UK
Communities Manager

Family Business UK (FBUK) is the largest organisation in the UK dedicated solely to supporting, representing and championing family businesses. We play a critical role in increasing awareness and understanding of the sector, influencing government policy, and championing the model of private business and family firms. This is an exciting time to join FBUK, at a pivotal time in the organisation’s history. We are embarking on a new and ambitious direction of travel, and are looking to recruit individuals who are ambitious, commercially minded and driven to create change and have an impact. To enhance our reputation and strengthen engagement with key audiences, we are seeking a Communities Manager to join our growing team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver initiatives that foster meaningful connections, enhance member engagement, and support the growth of a vibrant and influential community. You will be responsible for curating valuable member experiences, driving collaboration, and ensuring that FBUK remains the go-to network for family businesses seeking support, resources, and peer-to-peer learning.
In this role, you will play a key part in stakeholder engagement, developing strategies that encourage active participation and meaningful interactions within the FBUK community. You will oversee member events, facilitate discussions, and create content that highlights member success stories and best practices. Additionally, you will work closely with the wider FBUK team to align community initiatives with broader organisational goals, ensuring that our network remains strong, engaged, and influential.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker with experience in community engagement, events management, and relationship-building. This is a dynamic and varied position, and we are looking for someone who is personable, highly organised, and passionate about creating a thriving community. If you have a talent for building connections and a commitment to supporting family businesses, we would love to hear from you.
