Family Business UK (FBUK) is the largest organisation in the UK dedicated solely to supporting, representing and championing family businesses. We play a critical role in increasing awareness and understanding of the sector, influencing government policy, and championing the model of private business and family firms. This is an exciting time to join FBUK, at a pivotal time in the organisation’s history. We are embarking on a new and ambitious direction of travel, and are looking to recruit individuals who are ambitious, commercially minded and driven to create change and have an impact. As we continue to expand our reach and influence, we are seeking a Communications Manager to enhance our reputation and strengthen engagement with key audiences.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver FBUK’s communications strategy, ensuring we effectively position ourselves as the leading authority on family business issues in the UK. You will be responsible for developing compelling content across multiple channels, managing media relations, and crafting key messaging that amplifies our voice. Working closely with senior leadership, members, and external stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in raising FBUK’s profile and increasing our influence.

In this role, you will drive impactful storytelling that highlights the value of family businesses, produce high-quality communications materials, and manage digital and social media engagement. You will also support public affairs initiatives by delivering clear and persuasive messaging that resonates with policymakers, industry leaders, and the wider business community. Additionally, you will oversee event communications, ensuring FBUK’s key campaigns and initiatives gain maximum visibility.

We are looking for a skilled communicator with experience in media relations, content creation, and strategic communications. This is a dynamic and varied position, and candidates will need to be proactive, creative, and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. If you have a passion for communications and a drive to make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
