Crohn's & Colitis UK

CEO

Job Reference XATARB
Closing Date Thursday 29 Feb 2024

Salary: c£110k, depending on experience

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with this lifelong disease that can profoundly affect their quality of life. Due to the stigma surrounding these conditions, thousands of people are trying to manage their condition alone. We are a growing charity with great ambitions to change lives. But we face challenges in ensuring that we are heard; we continually need to tackle stigma, challenge ignorance and increase awareness.

The charity is flourishing as it delivers on its 2022-2024 strategy, and we had record levels of income and expenditure last year.  The trustees and senior leadership team are united in our ambition for the strategic direction over the next five years, with the aim of growing significantly to deliver greater influence and impact.

We are now looking for our next CEO to lead the Charity in charting the best route to deliver our goals. We need an assured Chief Executive who shares our ambitions and values; someone who will match, and even exceed, the incredible energy that you will find among our staff, volunteers and supporters in terms of advocating for our cause and community.

We are looking for candidates with strategic leadership skills in delivering exponential growth, experience of managing a broad portfolio of responsibilities at executive level in complex environments, and personal credibility in influencing and forging partnerships.

We aim to support and represent everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis regardless of ethnicity, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion or belief. We believe that ensuring that we have a diverse workforce is an organisational strength and we welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds.
