The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is a professional body dedicated to building public trust and confidence in the insurance and financial planning professions. We have a global reach with hubs in London, Hong Kong and Dubai. Insurance underpins our whole economy; almost everyone depends on insurance in some way to live their lives. At the CII we help develop technically competent, ethically focused practitioners and practice that people can depend on. We deliver our mission through relevant learning, insightful leadership and an engaged membership of 122,000 individuals across the world.
We are now looking for an exceptional individual to join as our new Executive Director, Strategy, Advocacy and Professional Standards. Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director will work with colleagues to lead the Institute effectively, ensuring a focus on purpose, performance, and value for money. They will directly oversee the output of thorough research, targeted policy and advocacy, impactful communications, and partnership with the professions to build and maintain public trust, in order to further our mission of building, maintaining and continually advancing public trust in the insurance and financial planning professions.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in strategic planning, advocacy, or professional standards, with a strong understanding of regulations and compliance standards. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and effective leader who can collaborate and influence internally with the Executive Leaders, staff, and members to ensure strategic alignment, while externally engaging with a wide range of stakeholders at the most senior level on behalf of the Institute.
