BBC Children in Need is seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to serve as its next Chair of Trustees. This is a pivotal role where you will guide the Board and work closely with the CEO and the Executive Team to shape and implement the charity’s strategic direction. You will be responsible for ensuring robust governance, championing the charity’s mission, and driving financial sustainability. Your leadership will be instrumental in navigating the evolving landscape of child welfare, while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and supporters. As Chair, you will help to amplify the charity’s work, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have substantial leadership experience at the helm of a board or committee, with a proven track record in strategic oversight, financial acumen, and governance. A strong commitment to child welfare and social equality is essential, as is the ability to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including the BBC, partners, and the broader public. You will possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative leadership style, and the vision to guide BBC Children in Need as it continues to grow and make a meaningful impact. As Chair, you will be both a strategic thinker and a compassionate advocate, working to ensure that the charity’s work remains relevant and impactful for future generations.
