Salary: £60,000 – £65,000
Battersea Arts Centre is a home for radical artistic ideas. BAC supports artists, young people, and communities to spark positive change through their creativity in many different ways, and this social purpose is central to everything they do. Based in an iconic building at the heart of Battersea, their work revolves around an ambitious live and digital programme of performance, heritage, events, and creative and community projects. Projects developed at BAC can also be found in communities and on tour across the UK and the world.
The Executive Director & Deputy CEO is a critical leadership role for Battersea Arts Centre. It impacts every aspect of BAC’s work, with significant responsibilities for strategic leadership, internal operations, and partner relationships. The Executive Director & Deputy CEO will have key governance responsibilities, as well as regularly deputising for the Artistic Director & CEO. This role is a great opportunity to positively impact lives through innovative artistic practice – and will help ensure BAC remains a national and international leader in terms of ground-breaking practice, talent development, accessibility, and inclusion.
Candidates will demonstrate a genuine commitment to the vision, mission and principles of Battersea Arts Centre. They will be practiced senior leaders with experience from within complex organisations, with a track record of leading effective teams, developing and monitoring high-level strategic plans and an awareness of the social, economic, and political context in which Battersea Arts Centre operates. They will be inspirational, entrepreneurial, resilient, values-led and highly organised and genuinely excited by the opportunity to join an organisation using creativity to drive social change.
