AAT is seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Executive Director of Strategy and Compliance. As a key member of the Executive team, this role provides strategic leadership across a broad portfolio, including strategy development, regulatory compliance, legal governance, public affairs, and policy. The Executive Director will be responsible for shaping AAT’s future direction while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of governance and compliance. As an influential and inspiring leader, they will foster a culture of excellence, ensuring that AAT remains at the forefront of the profession. They will be adept at balancing commercial, charitable, and compliance considerations while effectively navigating dynamic external environments. The ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, and industry bodies, is essential.

The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader, with experience operating at an executive level within a high-performing organisation of comparable scale and complexity. They will have a strong track record of leading strategy development, influencing government policy, and ensuring compliance within an educational or professional regulatory environment. An understanding of social mobility, sustainability, and professional standards in education is desirable.
