Family Business UK (FBUK) is the largest organisation in the UK dedicated solely to supporting, representing and championing family businesses. We play a critical role in increasing awareness and understanding of the sector, influencing government policy, and championing the model of private business and family firms. This is an exciting time to join FBUK, at a pivotal time in the organisation’s history. We are embarking on a new and ambitious direction of travel, and are looking to recruit individuals who are ambitious, commercially minded and driven to create change and have an impact. We are seeking a strategic and proactive Public Affairs Manager to help shape and drive our political engagement programme.

This is a new and exciting role at the heart of FBUK’s advocacy efforts, offering the opportunity to shape and drive our political engagement programme at a pivotal time for the sector. As a confident communicator, you will represent FBUK in external meetings and, where appropriate, act as a spokesperson in the media.

We are seeking an experienced and politically astute public affairs professional with a strong understanding of the UK’s political landscape and policymaking processes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public affairs or government relations, with exceptional communication skills and a proactive mindset. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, shaping public affairs strategy for a growing and influential organisation. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for advocacy and political engagement, we would love to hear from you.
