In recognition of today’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3rd December), it is a critical moment to reflect on the barriers faced by disabled people in employment and what can be done to create a truly inclusive society.
Aligned with the importance of this day, we are pleased to share news of the Diversity in Directorships Programme, developed in collaboration with the Business Disability Forum and Saxton Bampfylde. This initiative empowers disabled professionals to step into Non-Executive Director (NED) roles, fostering greater diversity at board level.
The programme will offer exclusive mentoring and personalised guidance, equipping participants to unlock their full career potential and take the next step toward NED positions.
For organisations, including disabled leaders on boards is a vital way to foster more inclusive workplace practices, products, and services. Open to everyone who identifies as having a disability or long term health condition, the programme will offer a unique opportunity to enhance career progression while contributing to a more diverse and representative leadership landscape.
We look forward to sharing more details soon, as entries for the programme open in early 2025.
