Chair of Awarding Organisation Compliance Board

AAT is undertaking a change to its governance structure and alongside this role will be welcoming a new Board of Trustees that will be at the apex of AAT. The Awarding Organisation Compliance (AOC) Board is an independent group that reports to the Trustee Board. This Board is already established and will continue into the new structure.
The AOC Board sits outside AAT’s formal governance framework to ensure greater independence and objectivity, however the Board feeds directly into AAT’s governing Board. The purpose of the AOC Board is to oversee and advise on AAT’s continuing recognition and compliance in relation to the regulatory requirements of UK and international qualification regulators and other bodies.
The Chair will need to have knowledge of awarding organisation sector or the willingness to rapidly gain this. Individuals will have interest and experience in areas including qualification regulators and compliance and quality assurance around regulated qualifications. Candidates will have an understanding of the role of a Chair and demonstrable experience of building and sustaining a variety of external relationships with key stakeholders.
Candidates are not required to be AAT members.
