Head

Job Reference LAIADB
Closing Date Friday 18 Oct 2024 (Now Expired)

St George’s School is a thriving independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18, situated within walking distance of the vibrant town of Ascot in Berkshire. Since being founded in 1877, St George’s has developed a strong academic provision, a remarkably broad co-curricular program, and an extensive suite of facilities to enable the girl’s education. St George’s girls leave school Confident, Capable and Connected.

St George’s now look to appoint their next Head to steer the school through an ever-changing educational landscape. This is a chance for an existing Head, or for someone with the potential to step up to Headship, to join St George’s and lead the school community forward into its next stage of development.  The new Head will be a catalyst for evolutionary change, bringing a deep understanding of both academic and pastoral issues, and will demonstrate a track record of success in a comparable educational environment.

The next Head will need to align with the Christian ethos, heritage and history of St George’s whilst also having the agility and flexibility to think creatively about how the School evolves. They will embrace a school community that welcomes pupils and staff of all faiths and none, and one that prides itself on creating a holistic and inclusive working environment. The Head will work with a supportive Board and Leadership Team and will lead in a way that reflects the values and ethos of the school.
