Helpforce
CEO
Helpforce is a charity with a critical purpose: to accelerate the growth and impact of volunteering in health and care. We work with a wide range of partners, building a community for volunteer leaders, and measuring the impact of volunteering in NHS, care and community settings. We have an exciting ambition to see volunteers play a much bigger role, having a significant positive impact on frontline staff, patients and the community.
We are now looking for an outstanding and inspirational individual to join Helpforce as our next CEO, after Mark Lever retires at the end of the year. With a lean but highly motivated and able team, and with the support of a high-powered Board of Trustees, our CEO will provide strong entrepreneurial leadership in building our commercial and business development strategy, acting as a key ambassador for the charity externally with leaders across the NHS, Government and the voluntary sector, as well as with fundraising partners.
With the freedom to shape Helpforce’s strategy, this is an exciting and career-defining opportunity for an accomplished leader to have a transformative impact on the health and care sector.
The successful candidate will bring senior leadership experience from one or more of the sectors we interface with, across charity, the NHS or broader public sector. They will bring gravitas and the ability to build credibility with a wide range of audiences, including with those at the most senior levels, with strategic and commercial instincts and the ability to identify and seize strategic opportunities for growth and impact. With a track record of having significant impact through innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, our next CEO will be passionate about how volunteering can make a major contribution to the challenges facing the health and care sector.
