Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales

Director of Policy, Communications and Research

Job Reference XBKJB
Closing Date Monday 22 Jul 2024

For nearly 40 years, the Lloyds Bank Foundation has worked in partnership with small and local charities, people and communities – supporting them to change lives and work towards a more just and compassionate society. Last year alone, we supported more than 700 charities across all of England and Wales.

Against the backdrop of a General Election and the many urgent challenges faced by the communities we support, this is a pivotal role for the Foundation. With a new Chief Executive joining us in September, there is real opportunity to shape our next strategy to make a big difference to small and vital charities, to the wider charity sector, to communities and to many lives. This role is central to our ability to continue to influence policy, practice, legislation and funding around critical issues such as support for asylum seekers and refugees, social security and accommodation.

We are looking for a strategic leader with proven expertise in policy and influencing, who can make our case directly to Ministers, Parliamentarians and officials and influence effectively through a range of key partners and stakeholders. We are also looking for those with experience in leading communications, who can capture the impact of our work and programmes through data, research and insights and tell our story with the wider public as well as opinion formers.  You will be a strong team player and work well with teams across the organisation as a key proponent of our inclusive culture. We are looking for an ambitious, values-driven leader and ambassador, who is collaborative and driven by making a tangible difference.

We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates.
