NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB) was launched in July 2022. This statutory body controls £1.4bn p.a. health spend across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It is responsible for health and care integration, commissioning, developing strategies and overseeing delivery of plans that meet the health needs of our communities, ensuring the provision of joined up health services that improve the lives of our 555,000 people.

Our vision for our citizens is to make Cornwall and Isles of Scilly “a great place to be born, to live and to age”. The ICB brings together all the NHS Trusts/partners, local authorities, Primary Care, the Ambulance Service, voluntary sector (to name a few) and other independent providers of care and services to provide seamless care that our people deserve working at both county and community level.

As part of our succession planning we are now looking to appoint 1 to 2 Associate Non-Executive Members to join the Board, reporting to the Chair of the ICB, and participating in all strategic activities of the ICB Board.

This is an exciting opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of the community served by the ICB system. You will do so by contributing to the strategic formulation of the ICB, providing robust governance and assurance support, helping to drive high quality sustainable outcomes, and building trusted relationships with partners and communities.

We are looking for exceptional leaders with a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services.

You will bring senior level experience in at least one of the following: clinical, medical, or social care services; digitalisation and IT; commercial or contracting; research; finance; or HR and organisational development or lived experience community Insights.

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, with experience of working with senior leaders to board level, the ability to bring independent thought and constructive scrutiny, to listen, and to question intelligently.

Our Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Board meetings are In St Austell every second Thursday of the month, all day. In addition, you’ll get to enjoy of the most beautiful and picturesque parts of the country, with stunning shoreline and beaches, national landmarks and breathtaking views.
