The Museum is now seeking a new Chief Operating Officer to join its senior leadership team. This role will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction of the Museum, enhancing financial and operational stability, and helping realise the organisation’s ambitious vision. The post-holder will lead the Commercial, Estates and IT teams, overseeing estate management, digital infrastructure, and commercial operations such as retail, catering, publishing, and visitor experience. A significant aspect of the role involves developing and optimising commercial strategies to maximise revenue from these areas, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting the broader mission of the museum.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a multifaceted organisation, with strong knowledge of digital platforms and infrastructure development. They should have a track record in fiscal management, balancing commercial income generation with entrepreneurialism. They must also have strong communication skills, the ability to influence key decisions and be passionate about the transformative power of design.
