Following a number of challenging years, we are in turnaround mode to address the challenges we face as an organisation. Good progress has been made and we are looking for individuals who are committed to driving our organisation forward.  We have recently appointed a new Chair and a number of Trustees, and we are now looking to appoint a new Director of Corporate Governance to support the organisation on this journey. This role will lead on all aspects of the charity’s governance and ensure we have an effective governance structure, supported by a comprehensive and up-to-date policy framework. This key role will ensure Leonard Cheshire is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements at both Trustee and Executive Team level, providing assurance through a framework of regular review and audits.

The successful candidate must be a UK qualified Company Secretary (ICSA or equivalent) who brings experience of delivering to legislative and best practice frameworks in the areas of governance and risk.

You will have a proven track record in developing pragmatic solutions in a legal setting to manage business risk. A commitment to and passion for the work Leonard Cheshire does is essential.
