Oundle School has 1,140 pupils, and a further 260 day pupils aged 4 – 11 attending Laxton Junior School. We are now looking to appoint an outstanding Director of Finance to be a senior qualified finance professional providing credible, visible and effective management of the finance function including the people and processes that assure the financial performance of the organisation. Reporting to the Bursar, the postholder will provide financial leadership across the Corporation of Oundle School, influencing behaviours, identifying efficiencies, and embedding a value for money culture. The Director of Finance will lead cross-cutting projects, forming and leading groups of staff at all levels as necessary to achieve outcomes.
This is a key, trusted role in the organisation, and we are looking for an experienced and qualified finance leader who has the strategic and operational experience to lead in a broad finance role. You will be a strong communicator, with a proven ability to manage a varied and complex stakeholder environment. Candidates may come from beyond the education sector but will need to bring a strong empathy and commitment to the vision and mission of the School.
