Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH), Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and West London NHS Trust (WLT) are three of the key providers of community and mental health services in London, with each providing services to a wider population across the capital and beyond.

There is an exciting opportunity for the three Trusts, with each of the Chairs due to stand down at the end of 2022 and early 2023, to work closely together to identify exceptional candidates to chair each Trust’s Board. With all three Trusts working more closely together, the three Chairs will lead the organisations towards greater collaboration for the benefit of patients, carers, and families.

In deepening collaboration, we can address the challenges facing the sector – from increasing demand for services and workforce capacity and health inequalities – more effectively. There are opportunities to build on the successful collaboration to date, including NWL Community and Mental Health Collaborative Partners and our joint workforce initiatives, realising the benefits of integrated community and mental health pathways for patients. Working more closely together also presents opportunities to build a more effective approach to neighbourhood working with partners across local government and the voluntary sector, and to capitalise on partnerships with acute hospital partners, academic organisations and the wider economy, to further research and innovation through greater shared learning and sharing of resources.

We are now looking for exceptional individuals to lead each Trust as Chair. Individual Trusts will maintain their own governance arrangements and will remain statutory organisations with clear responsibility and accountability for quality of care and financial performance. In expanding collaboration and recognising the close working relationships between the three Chairs, CLCH, CNWL and WLT will work together through the appointment process.

The successful candidates will be accomplished leaders with outstanding track records of achievements, gained in organisations of scale and complexity, with experience of leading transformational change. You will bring experience as a non-executive board member or Chair, and the capability to act as an ambassador internally and externally.
