Cromwell Place is a first-of-its-kind exhibition and working space for galleries, dealers, collectors and art professionals who are seeking a presence in central London. Conceived in response to industry demands, this unique membership organisation provides members with temporary exhibition spaces, art storage, technician hire and work and social spaces.  Situated in South Kensington’s museum district across five Grade II listed townhouses, which are home to 15 galleries and 25 offices spaces.  Since opening two years ago, it has become a flourishing hub for some of the world’s most exciting galleries, collectors, advisors, foundations and institutions in the arts.

Members are primarily commercial galleries, although it also welcomes some individuals and institutions, and come from across the world, reflecting London’s place in the global arts scene. A tiered membership offer allows flexibility for arts businesses of various aims and sizes. Members

Cromwell Place is now looking to appoint a CEO to develop and implement a vision, delivering against business goals. The successful candidates will have operational responsibility across 37 staff, with the support of a senior leadership team and work closely with the Board. They will drive collaboration across the membership, creating new programming and further develop Cromwell Place’s position in the arts and culture sector. They will be an excellent ambassador for the organisation and manage across a complex group of international stakeholders.

The CEO will develop strategy and operations to ensure Cromwell Place’s success in the UK and beyond.  Candidates will be passionate about the arts sector, and bring knowledge of the UK and global art scene, especially around art fairs, art weeks and biennales. They will understand the nexus of the arts with other creative industries.  They will be proven commercial and operational leaders, able to develop and deliver business strategy and drive business growth. With an entrepreneurial approach, they will lead and inspire the Cromwell Place team.
