The Chartered Association of Business Schools is the voice of the UK’s thriving business school sector, which contributes over £13billion to the UK economy annually through its teaching, research and wider impact. We support and champion them by advocating on their behalf across government, business and civil society, as well as by helping them develop their own talent, through our outstanding range of professional development programmes and events. We also gather data and undertake our own research to support our 120 members across the business school, higher education and wider environment to pursue their goals.
We are an innovator in our work to support not just the business school sector, but the UK’s own growth agenda, through our Small Business Charter whose government backed Help to Grow programme reaches over 30,000 SMES across the country. Following a strong period of success, we are now looking for our next Chief Executive to build on this progress and ensure we remain the powerful voice our sector needs.
Reporting to our Chair and Council, our Chief Executive will provide the strategic and operational leadership our Association needs, leading its talented team to its full potential, championing equality and diversity amongst ourselves and in our sector as well as ensuring effective stakeholder management and a strong connection to the needs of our membership
Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding professional leader with a strong affinity to the role of business schools, excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of working with government at senior levels, strong operational, financial and people management skills and an understanding of the higher education environment. Commercial and collaborative, your tenacious promotion of a culture of excellence. will be matched by your people leadership skills, with a track record of creating high performing teams in positive working environments.
