City Harvest
CEO
Salary: competitive
City Harvest is a young, entrepreneurial and fast growing charity addressing the twin needs of food waste and hunger in London.
Even before the current cost of living crisis began to bite, the growing evidence shows what our dedicated and passionate team witnesses each and every day: there is a massive need for healthy food amongst a growing number of people facing adversity.
Founded in 2014, by a small group of people who came together to address food waste and food poverty in the capital, forming London’s first food redistribution charity, we have grown into a committed group of staff, volunteers, Trustees and a wide community of supporters and partners, delivering over 1.2 million meals every single month. From our main depot in Acton, West London, we are active in all 32 boroughs in Greater London and our work and impact continues to grow in tune with our ambitious efforts to meet the demand.
As we continue to scale and grow our impact, we are now looking for our next CEO to provide the right combination of strategic leadership and operational performance, that will enable our sustainable organisational growth and transformation. An outstanding people leader, you will ensure a motivated, inclusive and supportive working environment that equips our staff and volunteers to meet the organisation’s strategic aims.
Candidates will bring significant experience as a senior strategic and operational leader who has successfully led growth and change in a charitable or business environment of similar scale and complexity. You will be a highly empathetic and inspiring leader, who can foster high levels of trust and “one organisation,” behaviours and display a deep passion for our mission. With outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, you will bring the passion for ending food poverty and food waste, that will influence and engage our many partners towards even greater impact. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
City Harvest embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity. We are an equal opportunities employer and treat every application on merit alone.
